About

From an early age, I have always had a love for gemstones.  In fact, my family used to collect rocks on family trips. We have rocks from deep in the Grand Canyon to Sedona to the seashores of Croatia.  The hum of the rock tumbler, polishing up new finds, was a familiar sound of my childhood.  I frequented the Rock & Gem shows when they would pass through my hometown of Charleston, West Virginia and was mesmerized by all the natural varieties and colors.  These events helped develop my love for jewelry.

My interest in accessories grew as I did and eventually I found my way into an Industrial Design program at the University of Cincinnati.  Through various internships, I found my next love - shoes, and have built a career designing footwear for Brian Atwood, Rachel Roy, Diesel, Rebecca Taylor, Boutique 9, and as of most recently, Gentle Souls and Kenneth Cole New York.

Over the last few years, I started to deep dive into ways to express my love for gemstones in a uniquely customizable and wearable fashion.  While I was leading my daughters scout troupe, I noticed the metal slider badges they would win for doing tasks, would slide onto their belts and could be removed or rearranged.  This struck an idea and the gemstone sliders were born.  That system, combined with some pyramid gems I had in my shoe trim stash, along with my love of leather cuff bands (from days of frequenting the Barbara Bui shops of Paris during research trips) all came together in the form of the bracelets you now see on my site.

Choose the stone that speaks to you.  Choose your band to complement your style.  Create a look that is uniquely you.
